Ingredients:
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon butter or olive oil
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
- Melt butter (or heat oil) in a non-stick frying pan over medium-low heat. The fat should coat the bottom of the pan evenly.
- Gently crack the egg into a small bowl.
- Gently slide the egg from the bowl into the heated pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes for sunny-side up, or until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny.
- For over-easy, over-medium, or over-hard, carefully flip the egg using a spatula and cook to your desired doneness.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Carefully remove the egg from the pan with a spatula and serve immediately.
