Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (12g) baking powder
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) salt
- 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
- 4 cups (600g) sliced peaches
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (15ml) lemon juice
- 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Toss sliced peaches with 1/2 cup granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a bowl. Let macerate for 10 minutes until a natural syrup forms.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pour the melted butter into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish, swirling to coat the edges.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt, then stir in the milk until just combined.
- Pour the batter directly over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
- Spoon the cinnamon-peach mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the edges turn a deep mahogany brown and the fruit is bubbling vigorously.
