Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring the florets are not overcrowded to prevent steaming.
  4. Roast for 10 minutes, or until the tips of the florets are dark brown and slightly charred.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with lemon zest and Parmesan cheese. Toss directly on the pan to coat.
