Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the fresh broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer across a parchment-lined baking sheet, ensuring space between florets to prevent steaming.
  4. Roast for 12–15 minutes until the tips are deep mahogany brown and the stems are tender.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with lemon zest and grated Parmesan.
  6. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and toss gently with tongs to coat before serving.
