Ingredients:
- 1 lb broccoli florets, cut into equal sizes
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon zest, freshly grated
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash the broccoli and pat it completely dry with a paper towel to ensure crispy edges.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil until evenly coated.
- Stir in the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and lemon zest, ensuring seasoning is distributed into the florets.
- Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between florets to avoid steaming.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until the tips are mahogany-colored and the stems are tender-crisp.
- Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese while the broccoli is still sizzling.
