Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder (6 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons hot water (60 ml, approximately 175°F or 80°C)
  • 1 cup milk (240 ml, whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, or your preferred non-dairy milk)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Sift matcha green tea powder into a small bowl to avoid clumps.
  2. Add hot water to the bowl.
  3. Whisk vigorously in a zig-zag motion for 30 seconds until frothy and well combined.
  4. In a small saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium heat until steaming but not boiling.
  5. If using, stir in honey or maple syrup to sweeten.
  6. Pour the frothed matcha into two cups.
  7. Slowly add the hot milk to the cups, allowing it to gently combine with the matcha.
  8. Add a pinch of sea salt to each cup.
  9. Use a spoon to gently stir if desired.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!
