Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole grain, or sourdough)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (56g), softened
  • 8 slices cheese (cheddar, American, or your favorite) (200g)

Instructions:

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat to warm up.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place two slices of bread, butter-side down, in the pan. Layer cheese slices evenly on top. Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  4. Cook until the underside is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Carefully flip the sandwiches using the spatula.
  6. Cook the other side until golden brown and cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove from pan, slice in half, and enjoy!
