Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (227g) Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Chives, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Gently melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until just melted. Don't let it brown!
  2. For a richer, more complex flavour, sauté the minced garlic in the melted butter over low heat for 2-3 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.
  3. In a mixing bowl, add the melted butter (and sautéed garlic, if using), parsley, chives, salt, pepper, garlic powder (if using), and red pepper flakes (if using).
  4. Stir everything together thoroughly until evenly combined.
  5. For a firmer, spreadable butter, transfer to an airtight container or ramekins and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. This allows the flavours to meld.
  6. Spread on bread, drizzle over food, or melt into sauces! Serve and enjoy ultimate garlic butter.
