- 3/4 cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (281 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon (6 g) salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
