Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 small onion, diced (approx. 1 cup / 150 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups (200 g) elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned; drain any excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  5. Incorporate uncooked macaroni into the mixture; stir to combine.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Remove and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
