Ingredients:

  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained and flaked (140 g)
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (30 g)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (5 g)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (15 ml)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro or parsley (optional)
  • Whole grain or sourdough bread, pita, or crackers for serving
  • Optional toppings: sliced radishes, cucumber, or microgreens

Instructions:

  1. Drain and flake the tuna into a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into the bowl.
  3. Use a fork or potato masher to combine the avocado with the tuna until creamy but slightly chunky.
  4. Stir in mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lime juice, and any optional herbs (cilantro or parsley).
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste, adjusting according to preference.
  6. Spread the Tunacado on your bread of choice or serve with crackers, garnishing with any toppings as desired.
