Ingredients:

  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 cup (150g) frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup (240ml) unsweetened almond milk (or your preferred milk)
  • ½ cup (120g) Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Fresh berries (for topping)
  • Sliced banana (for topping)
  • Granola (for topping)
  • A sprinkle of nuts or seeds (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Peel the banana and slice it into smaller pieces for easier blending.
  2. Combine banana, frozen berries, almond milk, Greek yogurt, and optional honey/maple syrup in the blender.
  3. Blend on high until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  4. If too thick, add a splash more almond milk; if too thin, add more yogurt or frozen fruit.
  5. Sample the smoothie and add extra sweetness or chia seeds if desired.
  6. Pour into glasses and top with your choice of toppings.
