Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup (75g) raw almonds
- 1/2 frozen banana (optional, for sweetness and creaminess)
- 1 tablespoon almond butter (for extra nutty flavour and creaminess)
- 1 teaspoon chia seeds (for added nutrients and thickness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but adds a lovely depth of flavour)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, warming spice)
- Ice cubes (as needed, for desired consistency)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional, adjust to taste for extra sweetness)
- A handful of spinach (optional for added nutrients and minimal taste impact)
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients (almond milk, almonds, banana, almond butter, chia seeds, vanilla extract, cinnamon, spinach (if using), and sweetener (if using)) to the blender.
- Blend on high speed until completely smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk, one tablespoon at a time.
- Add ice cubes, one at a time, until the almond smoothie reaches your desired thickness.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or add more cinnamon, as needed.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
