Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (150g) chocolate chips
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (for coating)
- 12 lollipop sticks
- 12 candy eyes
- Black licorice (for spider legs; about 12 strips) or chocolate spiders
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the sugar. Let it cool slightly before adding eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely, then cut into bite-sized squares and shape into pops.
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips until smooth.
- Dip the ends of the lollipop sticks into the melted chocolate and insert into the brownie pops.
- Dip each brownie pop into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip off.
- While the chocolate is still wet, add the candy eyes and attach spider legs or chocolate spiders.
- Place the finished brownie pops in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until chocolate hardens.
