Ingredients:
- 2 ounces (60 ml) Mezcal (Espadin variety recommended)
- 1 ounce (30 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
- ¾ ounce (22 ml) Agave Nectar (Light or Amber)
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Salt (Kosher or Sea Salt), for rimming (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- If desired, salt the rim of your glass. Run a lime wedge around the rim and dip the glass into a plate of salt.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine mezcal, lime juice, and agave nectar.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
- Close the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
- Strain the cocktail into your prepared glass filled with ice (if using a rocks glass or margarita glass) or a chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with a fresh lime wedge. Now you can enjoy your delicious mezcal margarita.
