Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados (170-225g each)
  • 1/2 small red onion, finely diced (30g)
  • 1-2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely minced (15-30g)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro (coriander) (10g)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (30ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (2.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin (1.25g)
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Halve avocados, remove pits, and scoop flesh into the bowl.
  2. Using a fork, mash the avocados to your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
  3. Add diced red onion, jalapeño (if using), cilantro, lime juice, salt, cumin (if using), and pepper to the bowl.
  4. Gently mix all ingredients until well combined.
  5. Taste and adjust salt, lime juice, or jalapeño to your liking. Serve immediately or chill for later.
