Ingredients:

  • 4 ears of fresh corn on the cob, husks and silk removed
  • 8 cups (1.9 liters) water
  • 1 teaspoon (6 grams) salt (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (14 grams) sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Remove husks and silk from the corn. Rinse under cold water.
  2. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Add salt and sugar (if using).
  3. Gently lower the corn into the boiling water. Ensure the corn is fully submerged; add more water if needed.
  4. Reduce heat slightly to maintain a gentle boil. Cook for 8-12 minutes, or until the kernels are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
  5. Use tongs to carefully remove the corn from the pot. Drain briefly. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
