Ingredients:
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (about 300g)
- 1 lb (450g) cooked pulled pork, or sliced ham, or grilled veggies
- 1 cup (100g) shredded cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
- 1/2 cup (120ml) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5g) poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the baking dish by greasing it lightly.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally while keeping them attached.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared dish.
- Layer your filling evenly on top (pulled pork, ham, cheese, etc.).
- Place the top half of the rolls back onto the filled bottom half.
- Prepare the sauce: whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and poppy seeds.
- Brush the sauce generously over the tops of the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, then slice into individual sliders and serve.
