Ingredients:

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (about 300g)
  • 1 lb (450g) cooked pulled pork, or sliced ham, or grilled veggies
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally while keeping them attached.
  4. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared dish.
  5. Layer your filling evenly on top (pulled pork, ham, cheese, etc.).
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the filled bottom half.
  7. Prepare the sauce: whisk together melted butter, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and poppy seeds.
  8. Brush the sauce generously over the tops of the rolls.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool slightly, then slice into individual sliders and serve.
