Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and egg until fully combined.
  3. In another bowl, combine the Bisquick mix, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the crumbled sausage, shredded cheese, and chopped green onions (if using) until evenly distributed.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the muffins are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm.
