Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets, roughly the size of a walnut, to ensure even roasting.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss thoroughly until all florets are evenly coated.
  4. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the baking sheet, leaving space between florets to allow them to roast rather than steam.
  5. Roast for 18–22 minutes until the edges are deep golden-brown and the broccoli has a nutty aroma.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese or drizzle with fresh lemon juice while sizzling.
