Ingredients:

  • 1 lb broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet, ensuring florets are not crowded.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the edges are deep golden brown and the broccoli has a nutty aroma.
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle with lemon zest.
  6. Toss in the grated Parmesan cheese while the broccoli is still hot so it melts slightly.
