Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) water
- 2 cups (480ml) fresh pomegranate juice (strained)
- 1 cup (240ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 cups (720ml) chilled filtered water
Instructions:
- Combine the sugar and 1 cup (240ml) of water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the liquid turns clear and the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Squeeze your lemons using a juicer to reach 1 cup (240ml). If using a fresh pomegranate, blend the seeds and pass the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to obtain 2 cups (480ml) of smooth, seedless juice.
- Pour the cooled simple syrup into the pitcher first, followed by the fresh lemon juice and pomegranate juice. Stir vigorously for 30 seconds. Finally, pour in the 3 cups (720ml) of chilled water. Stir once more until the color is a consistent, deep ruby red.
