Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the cheese from sticking.
- In a large bowl, combine the raw sausage, softened cream cheese, and shredded cheddar. Use your hands or a stand mixer to blend until the cream cheese is fully incorporated.
- Fold in the Bisquick, garlic powder, and paprika, mixing until a cohesive, slightly tacky dough forms.
- Stir in the chopped green onions gently so they are distributed without bruising.
- Using a small cookie scoop or your hands, roll the mixture into 1 inch balls.
- Place the balls on the baking sheet, leaving about 1/2 inch of space between each ball to allow hot air to circulate.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until they have a consistent golden brown hue and a firm touch.
- Allow them to cool on the pan for 5 minutes.
