Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (45 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (30 ml)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (2 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (3 g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1 g)
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 g)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Lemon wedges (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade. Toss to coat evenly. Let sit for 10 minutes for optimal flavor infusion.
  3. Place a skillet on medium-high heat and allow it to warm for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 120°F (49°C).
  5. Remove shrimp from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately with your choice of side.
