Ingredients:
- 4 large russet potatoes (about 8-10 oz each / 225-280 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt (5 g)
- Optional: Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub the potatoes thoroughly under cold running water and prick each potato several times with a fork.
- Season the Potatoes: Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Optionally, add freshly cracked black pepper.
- Bake the Potatoes: Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet and bake for 45-60 minutes.
- Test for Doneness: Insert a fork into the thickest part; it should slide in easily.
- Serve: Let cool slightly, cut a slit in the top, and fluff the insides with a fork before adding your favourite toppings.
