Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Note: Let it fully reach temp before sliding the tray in
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Ensure every nook of the floret is glistening with oil.
- Spread the seasoned broccoli onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Leave at least an inch of space between each piece so they don't steam.
- Roast for 15 minutes until the edges are deep mahogany brown and the stems are fork tender.
- Remove from the oven immediately.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot broccoli. Note: The residual heat melts the cheese instantly
- Squeeze the fresh lemon juice over the top. The sizzle you hear is the flavor locking in.
- Serve immediately while the edges are still shatter crisp.
