Ingredients:
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
- While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
