Ingredients:

  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy your penne pasta and Alfredo sauce!
