Ingredients:
- 2 large ripe bananas, chopped
- 1 cup plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup natural, xylitol-free peanut butter
- 1/4 cup water or dog-safe bone broth (more as needed)
- 1/4 cup plain rolled oats (optional, for texture)
Instructions:
- Prepare Ingredients: Peel and roughly chop the ripe bananas.
- Blend the Base: Combine the chopped bananas, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and water/broth into a high-speed blender or food processor.
- Achieve Smoothness: Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed. Add more liquid by the tablespoon if the mixture is too thick.
- Incorporate Texture (Optional): Gently fold in the rolled oats or crushed dog biscuits if using, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Portion Out: Carefully spoon the mixture into standard muffin cups or small silicone ice cube trays, filling them about three-quarters full.
- Freeze: Place the tray flat into the freezer. Freeze solid for a minimum of 4 to 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Serve: Once fully frozen, briefly dip the bottom of the tray in warm water (no more than 5 seconds) to loosen the cups before popping them out to serve your dog.
