Ingredients:

  • 2 large ripe bananas, chopped
  • 1 cup plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup natural, xylitol-free peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup water or dog-safe bone broth (more as needed)
  • 1/4 cup plain rolled oats (optional, for texture)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Peel and roughly chop the ripe bananas.
  2. Blend the Base: Combine the chopped bananas, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and water/broth into a high-speed blender or food processor.
  3. Achieve Smoothness: Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides as needed. Add more liquid by the tablespoon if the mixture is too thick.
  4. Incorporate Texture (Optional): Gently fold in the rolled oats or crushed dog biscuits if using, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  5. Portion Out: Carefully spoon the mixture into standard muffin cups or small silicone ice cube trays, filling them about three-quarters full.
  6. Freeze: Place the tray flat into the freezer. Freeze solid for a minimum of 4 to 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  7. Serve: Once fully frozen, briefly dip the bottom of the tray in warm water (no more than 5 seconds) to loosen the cups before popping them out to serve your dog.
