Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a large rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until every floret is evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli across the sheet pan in a single layer, leaving at least a half-inch of space between pieces to prevent steaming.
  4. Roast for 10–12 minutes until the stems are vibrant green and the floret tips are slightly singed.
  5. Remove the pan from the oven and evenly sprinkle the minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese over the broccoli.
  6. Return the pan to the oven for another 3–5 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
