Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approx. 6-8 oz/ 170-225g each)
- 1 teaspoon salt (5ml)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper (2.5ml)
- 1 cup (240ml) BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15ml) (optional)
- Pinch of smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
- Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil (optional).
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and brush generously with half of the BBQ sauce.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven and brush with the remaining BBQ sauce (optional).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
