Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Toss the mixture thoroughly using hands or tongs until every floret is evenly coated in oil and seasoning.
  4. Spread the broccoli onto the prepared sheet pan in a single layer, ensuring there is space between the pieces to prevent steaming.
  5. Roast for 15–20 minutes, tossing the vegetables with a spatula halfway through (around the 10-minute mark) for even browning.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven once edges are dark brown and florets are tender. Immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice and top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
