Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 oz) tilapia fillets (about 170g each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (5g)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (1g)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (1g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (3g)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper (1g)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 30ml)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier clean-up (optional).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place the tilapia fillets on the baking sheet and drizzle the seasoning mixture over them. Use a brush or your hands to ensure the fillets are evenly coated.
  5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the seasoned tilapia.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end for a crispy top (optional).
  7. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
