Ingredients:
- 1 lb fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Wash the broccoli thoroughly and pat it completely dry with a kitchen towel. Cut the head into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, toss the florets with the olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir in the garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- Spread the broccoli onto a rimmed sheet pan in a single layer, leaving space between the florets to ensure they roast rather than steam.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes until the edges are deep brown and the stalks are fork-tender.
- Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan over the top during the last 2 minutes of cooking for a melted, golden crust.
