Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) Aged Jamaican Rum (e.g., Appleton Estate Signature Blend)
  • ¾ oz (22 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Orange Curaçao (preferably Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao)
  • ½ oz (15 ml) Orgeat Syrup (almond syrup)
  • ¼ oz (7.5 ml) Simple Syrup (Optional)
  • Garnish: Lime wedge
  • Garnish: Mint sprig
  • Garnish: Luxardo Cherry (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Add ice to your rocks glass to chill.
  2. Add all ingredients (rum, lime juice, curaçao, orgeat syrup, simple syrup) to a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice.
  4. Shake well until the shaker is very cold, about 15-20 seconds.
  5. Empty the ice from the chilled glass, fill with fresh ice, and strain the cocktail into the glass.
  6. Garnish with a lime wedge, mint sprig, and Luxardo cherry (if desired).
