Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
- 1/4 cup (5g) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 loaf (1 pound/450g) Italian or French bread, cut in half lengthwise
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the Garlic Butter: Combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using) in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Prepare the Bread: Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise.
- Spread the Garlic Butter: Generously spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Bake: Place the bread, butter-side up, on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the butter is melted and bubbly. Watch carefully to prevent burning!
- Slice and Serve: Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice into individual pieces. Serve immediately while warm.
