Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs fresh broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between florets to prevent steaming.
  4. Roast for 15–20 minutes until the edges are deep golden brown and stems are tender.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately toss the hot broccoli with minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top and return to the oven for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted and fragrant.
