Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs fresh broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between florets to prevent steaming.
- Roast for 15–20 minutes until the edges are deep golden brown and stems are tender.
- Remove from oven and immediately toss the hot broccoli with minced garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top and return to the oven for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is melted and fragrant.
