Ingredients:
- 2 cups (480 ml) water
- 2 bags of herbal tea (chamomile or peach recommended)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey (adjust based on taste)
- ½ teaspoon (2 g) fresh ginger, grated (optional for a spicy kick)
- ½ cup (120 ml) fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
- ½ cup (120 ml) hot water (to mix with the lemon juice)
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) sugar or sweetener of choice (adjust based on taste)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl or pitcher, mix the fresh lemon juice and hot water. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Set aside.
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan.
- Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat. Add the herbal tea bags and grated ginger (if using). Steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and mix in honey until dissolved. Combine the steeped tea with the prepared lemonade in a teapot or large mug.
- Pour into cups and enjoy warm.
