Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tsp (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 12 slices white toast bread
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp (15g) ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Trim the crusts off the 12 slices of white bread using a small serrated knife.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten each bread slice until it is paper-thin, dense, and flexible.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract with a handheld mixer until aerated and velvety.
- Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened bread slice, leaving a small margin at the edges.
- Roll the bread slices tightly to create sticks. Combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
- Dip each stick into the melted butter, then roll immediately in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Place the sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 minutes or until the exterior is a mahogany-colored mahogany and crispy.
