Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp Dried Buttermilk Powder
  • 3 Tbsp Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Dill Weed
  • 1 Tbsp Dried Chives
  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Coarse Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper (Finely Ground)
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Thyme (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Measure the Dry Ingredients: Carefully measure out all the powdered ingredients—buttermilk powder, onion powder, and garlic powder—and place them into a small mixing bowl. Add the salt, pepper, and optional thyme to the bowl.
  2. Incorporate the Herbs: Add the larger, flakier herbs: dried parsley, dill weed, and chives, ensuring they are separated and not clumped together.
  3. Combine Thoroughly: Using a small whisk or fork, gently mix all the ingredients until fully combined. The final product should be a uniform, pale green/yellow mixture speckled with green herbs, with no pockets of pure white powder remaining.
  4. Storage: Transfer the finished Ranch Seasoning Mix immediately into a clean, airtight glass jar or container. Label the jar with the date.
  5. Rest and Ready: Allow the seasoning mix to rest for at least 24 hours before use. Store in a cool, dark place (like a pantry) for up to 6 months.
