Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add warm water, stirring until a dough forms. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Divide dough into smaller portions. Roll each portion into a ball. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle (about 3 inches wide).
  4. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle. Moisten the edges with water. Fold and pinch to seal tightly.
  5. Place dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam for 10-15 minutes until cooked through, or pan-fry by adding water and cooking until the water evaporates.
