Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  7. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a baking sheet lined with parchment, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
