Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Dried Greek Oregano
- 3 Tablespoons Dried Thyme
- 1 Tablespoon Dried Rosemary
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cumin
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried Mint
- 1 teaspoon Dried Lemon Zest
- 1/2 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt (Optional)
Instructions:
- Measure all dried herbs and spices precisely. If using whole rosemary needles, lightly crush them in a mortar and pestle to release essential oils.
- Place the oregano, thyme, rosemary, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, mint, lemon zest, smoked paprika, black pepper, and optional salt into a small mixing bowl.
- Use a whisk or fork to vigorously combine all ingredients for at least 30 seconds, ensuring there are no clumps and the spices are evenly distributed.
- Transfer the blend to a shallow plate or a dry pan. Allow it to 'rest' uncovered on the counter for 5 minutes to let the volatile oils mingle and the flavour deepen.
- Transfer the finished Kefi Spice Blend into a clean, airtight storage jar and label clearly with the date.
