Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90% or 93% lean)
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets, bite-sized
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, red pepper flakes, and water until the cornstarch is completely dissolved.
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef in an even layer and sear undisturbed for 3-4 minutes to create a brown crust, then break into crumbles and cook until fully browned.
- Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and the white parts of the green onions; sauté for 60 seconds.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Pour the whisked glaze over the beef and broccoli, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens into a velvety coating.
