Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs / 680 g total)
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, making sure it's well-coated. Seal or cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavor).
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C). Oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Place the chicken on the grill. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Use a meat thermometer to accurately check.
  5. Remove chicken from grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow juices to redistribute. Serve with lemon wedges for an extra zesty touch.
