Ingredients:

  • 2 slices bread (60g)
  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise (30-45 ml)
  • 2-3 slices cheese (50-75g)
  • (Optional) Pinch of garlic powder (0.5g)

Instructions:

  1. Evenly spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread. (Optional: Sprinkle garlic powder on the mayo.)
  2. Place one slice of bread, mayo-side down, in a cold pan. Layer the cheese slices on top. Top with the second slice of bread, mayo-side up.
  3. Place the pan over medium-low heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and gooey. Use a spatula to gently press down on the sandwich.
  4. Remove the grilled cheese from the pan, let it cool slightly (about 30 seconds), and slice in half. Serve immediately.
