Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)
- 1/4 cup (25g) grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- Optional: Red pepper flakes, for a touch of heat (about 1/8 teaspoon, or to taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat (optional).
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Ensure the beans are evenly coated.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Roast for 12-15 minutes, then remove from the oven and sprinkle evenly with the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 3-5 minutes, or until the green beans are crisp-tender and the Parmesan cheese is melted and lightly golden brown.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes (if using), and serve immediately. Enjoy your Roasted Green Beans with Garlic.
