Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: Red pepper flakes, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Trim the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove any loose outer leaves.
- In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Ensure the sprouts are evenly coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (for easier cleanup).
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the sprouts.
- Return to the oven and roast for another 5-10 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender-crisp and the Parmesan is golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if using), and serve immediately.
