Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (2g) salt
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
