Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2g) salt
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough onto a lined baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
