Ingredients:

  • 1 Rotisserie Chicken (whole) - approximately 3.5 to 4.5 lbs
  • Freezer Bags or Airtight Containers - for storage
  • Optional: Seasonings (e.g., salt, pepper, garlic powder) to taste for reheating

Instructions:

  1. Remove the chicken from packaging and let it cool to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Using a knife or kitchen scissors, portion the chicken into pieces (breasts, thighs, wings, and drumsticks) for easier thawing and reheating.
  3. Place portioned chicken into freezer bags or airtight containers, leaving some space for air. If using bags, try to remove as much air as possible before sealing.
  4. Use a marker to label each bag/container with the date and contents.
  5. Place the labeled bags or containers in the freezer. Store chicken for up to 4 months for optimal freshness.
  6. When ready to use, move the chicken to the refrigerator to thaw overnight or use the microwave for quick defrosting.
  7. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed thoroughly, about 20-30 minutes.
