Ingredients:

  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff (or creme)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Pinch of cinnamon (for dusting, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Ensure the cream cheese is genuinely softened—take it out of the fridge about an hour before you start. Place the softened cream cheese into your mixing bowl.
  2. Using an electric mixer or sturdy whisk, beat the cream cheese until it is completely smooth, light, and fluffy (about 1 minute). Scrape down the sides of the bowl halfway through.
  3. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until just combined. Increase speed slightly and beat until smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and lemon zest. Fold these in gently with a rubber spatula to maintain the airiness you’ve created.
  5. Add the marshmallow fluff to the bowl. Gently fold the fluff into the cream cheese mixture using broad, sweeping motions until no streaks remain and the dip is uniformly combined and thick. Do not overmix.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Chilling allows the dip to firm up slightly, making it easier to scoop and enhancing the flavour integration.
  7. Transfer the finished Cream Cheese Fruit Dip to a pretty serving bowl. Dust lightly with cinnamon (if using) and arrange your dippers artfully around it before serving.
